This distinctive quartet brings a mix of vintage funk, electroacoustic jazz, and art-pop to the Bimhuis stage. George, led by drummer/composer John Hollenbeck, plays music that sits somewhere between vintage funk, electroacoustic jazz, and art-pop. The quartet consists of Anna Webber on tenor saxophone and flute, Sarah Rossy on voice and synthesizer, Chiquita Magic on synthesizers and voice, and Hollenbeck himself on drums. Pitchfork described their energy as 'as infectious as a perfect pop tune'.
