dublon & support: the wine is ok

From the serene Norwegian landscape, dublon has grown into an important player within the recent explosion of jazz house. His sound combines refined instrumentation with driving house rhythms and evokes images of dimly lit wine bars and long summer evenings. With more than 200 million streams to his name and a European tour that ended with a headline show at Jazz Cafe, dublon is now bringing his music to the clubs that have inspired him so much. To be heard and seen at Kunst en Cultuurhuis Cinetol.

From DJ to DJ with jazz musicians

Nectar, his debut EP, is his most refined work to date and brings together atmospheric toplines from vocalists with collaborations with renowned musicians Nathan Haines and Tour-Maubourg. It is a collection of tracks in which his mastery of pop, classical music and jazz takes centre stage.

Until now, dublon has performed as a DJ, but this autumn he is taking a group of talented jazz musicians with him for a European live tour to show a different side of the project.

Support: the wine is ok

the wine is ok is the musical project of Norwegian producer Isak Albert Solheim Kvamme, who says he makes music to be played in wine bars. With releases such as fiano, merlot and baga, he moves between jazz and electronic music, with influences from house and bossa nova. His tracks have been released via labels including Nice Cake, Broke and Egoplanet. With his combination of jazz-oriented elements and electronic grooves, the wine is ok seeks the balance between relaxed listening music and rhythmic electronic sounds.

Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE)

This show is part of Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). ADE is the most forward-thinking, influential and educational event for electronic music and the music industry. Each year, ADE Festival consists of 1,200 music events, organised by more than 300 clubs and cultural institutions. This means that the foundation does not organise the individual events itself, but invites external events to participate in the annual festival. Every year, ADE takes place at both established and unknown and surprising locations, spread across the city and featuring a wide variety of electronic music.

Please note: Holders of an ADE wristband have free access to this show, but please note: visitors with a Cinetol ticket will be given priority for entry.
