Dolphin Hyperspace / Joris Roelofs solo
Electro-jazz from Los Angeles, introduced by a solo performance on bass clarinet in the Bimhuis. Dolphin Hyperspace, the LA duo with Nicole McCabe on alto sax and Logan Kane on bass and synthesizers, will perform with special guest Jamie Peet on drums. The Americans mix electronic beats and synths with dizzying jazz. There will be a solo performance by the Dutch bass clarinetist Joris Roelofs beforehand.

Dolphin Hyperspace
On their most recent EP, the duo is joined by musicians from the thriving Los Angeles scene, including drummers Louis Cole and Justin Brown (Thundercat, Flying Lotus). Nicole McCabe played with big names such as David Binney and John Escreet. Logan Kane is known as the bassist of the punk-funk band Thumpasaurus. For this concert, one of the most sought-after drummers of the moment, Jamie Peet, joins the duo.
Joris Roelofs
Joris Roelofs has developed in recent years as an excellent bass clarinetist, including with the album 'Rope Dance' on the Swedish quality label Bis Records and with the duo album Icarus with Han Bennink. Inspired by grandmasters such as Eric Dolphy and Harry Sparnaay, Joris developed his own style on the bass clarinet. Now he plays solo.
