Cory Hanson, known as the frontman of the rock collective Wand, displays a more intimate and wilder sound solo. Since his debut The Unborn Capitalist from Limbo (2016), he has been building an oeuvre from Los Angeles that balances dreamy folk, fuzzed guitar storms, and an almost cinematic sensibility. His albums such as Pale Horse Rider (2021) and Western Cum (2023) explore the extremes of Americana and psychedelic rock.

Cole Berliner, a guitarist from San Francisco currently living in Los Angeles, is known as one half of the Californian band Sharpie Smile (formerly Kamikaze Palm Tree). His solo work features fluid, continuously changing acoustic-electric arrangements. These range from stripped-down folk to chamber music and jazz formations. Berliner draws inspiration from diverse influences, including Bert Jansch, Philip Glass, and Marc Ribot.
