CELLOFEST François Salque, Hermine Deurloo, Gwilym Simcock and Vincent Peirani

In 2024, 3 musical adventurers — the Dutch Hermine Deurloo on harmonica, the French accordionist Vincent Peirani and the English pianist Gwilym Simcock — met for the first time in London. During the Cello Biënnale, this meeting will have a special sequel as they join forces with the phenomenal top cellist François Salque.

Lyrical jazz meets classical finesse

This French master cellist excels at playing chamber music and now takes the group to another dimension, where chamber music and improvisation do not contradict but reinforce each other. A unique collaboration, especially for the Biënnale, in which four musicians with distinct individual voices merge into one adventurous dialogue.
