Exceptional musicians connect Arabic and Western traditions

Omar Lazrak is a student of Chraibi and worked closely with him for many years. In this programme, he continues his legacy, not by copying the form, but by conveying the spirit of his music. Cellist Anwar Saidi belongs to the small group of musicians worldwide who fully master and combine both classical technique and Arabic modal systems. In addition to compositions by Chraibi, the programme includes new original work, which reaches from Granada to Baghdad.
