Nature worldwide is under pressure, but how is nature in our city actually doing? To find an answer to this, Marineterrein is organising a series of ‘BioBlitz’-es together with Pakhuis de Zwijger. During such a BioBlitz, we map the ecosystem at Marineterrein together with experts. For this last BioBlitz of the year, we are diving into the wonderful world of lichens and fungi, magnifying glasses and all.

These symbiotic life forms do not care about all the polarisation in the world. Once you have an eye for the multicoloured biodiversity of these generous givers, a whole cosmos opens up for you. Last time, we found a beautiful yellow specimen that normally only occurs in North America. Who knows, maybe we will spot a unique fungal adventurer again this time. Please note: we start at Pakhuis de Zwijger and then leave together for Marineterrein.
