As You Like It at Mike's Badhuistheater

What if making music really hurts? Two artists create funny, honest songs and scenes on the spot with the audience's help. But that's not all: they receive electric shocks, are strictly judged, and even beaten with a stick. An absurd, thrilling, and hilarious theatrical adventure that you won't forget.

6 February, 8:00 PM | Badhuistheater, Boerhaaveplein 28 | Buy tickets, (from 4 hours beforehand)

Children also benefit from the Uitpas. At the Amsterdam Marionettes Theatre, fairy tales come to life through interactive storytelling. The large lindenwood marionettes perform short scenes. Can the children guess which fairy tale this scene is from? Of course, fairy tales are also read aloud, and children can participate actively. In addition to the puppet show, they can view specially created illustrations on a large screen. After two fairy tales, the children get to solve the riddle with a giant puzzle.

1, 14, 28 February, 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM | Amsterdam Marionette Theater, Nieuwe Jonkerstraat 8 | Buy tickets (from 4 hours beforehand)

Nico Meurs - 30 years after Srebrenica

30 years ago, the massacre in Srebrenica took place. A peace mission failed and thousands of people were murdered. A man was there. Now he tells his story, alone on stage. Not as a hero, not as a victim, but as a human. He talks about what went wrong, difficult choices, and their consequences. AF – back to Srebrenica is a thought-provoking performance that resonates and raises questions that are still relevant today.

15 February, 4.45 PM – 7.00 PM | TOBACCO Theatre, Nes 75-87 | Buy tickets (from 4 hours beforehand)

Perry Gits - Farewell (14+)

At de Krakeling, you watch a performance about celebrating life and death by Perry Gits. Which rituals do you take from traditions, and which do you create yourself? Because rituals and traditions differ and change everywhere, by city, country or region. In 2024, Perry was artist-in-residence at BAU and was inspired by the rituals and traditions surrounding Ghanaian funeral services, from the moment someone dies until they are buried.

4 and 5 February, 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM | Theater de Krakeling, Pazzanistraat 15 | Buy tickets (from 4 hours beforehand)

Remy Evers - Broadcast Rebel

In 'Stoorzender', you see Remy Evers as a boy with too much free time who gets caught up in a neighbour dispute. A funny and touching story where fantasy and reality become intertwined. Remy searches for answers to strange questions. Did the inventor of the hole punch also invent confetti? Can a tree whisperer talk with laminate? Expect a special performance full of humour and confusion.

26 February, 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM | Theatre de Richel, Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 282 | Buy tickets (from 4 hours beforehand)

Italian pop/rock phenomenon Lucio Corsi

At the Eurovision Song Contest, Italian pop/rock star Lucio Corsi won hearts with 'Volevo Essere un Duro', a powerful song about self-acceptance. His music sounds like '70s rock with imaginative lyrics. Corsi blends poetry with power, glam rock with surrealism. After his breakthrough at the San Remo Festival, his fanbase grew explosively. This month, you can attend his energetic concert at the Q Factory.

13 February, 20:30 – 22:30 | Q-Factory, Atlantisplein 1 | Buy tickets (from 4 hours beforehand)

For this series, the photographer delved into Magic City, an influential Atlanta strip club where hip-hop culture and entertainment converge. Through intimate portraits, Benjida reveals the women behind the scenes who set the rhythm: clever, independent, and entrepreneurial. A tribute to a city and to the creators who amplified its sound.
