Former horse tram depot

OCCII stands for Independent Cultural Center In It and was founded 25 years ago (1992) by a number of enthusiastic theater and music lovers. What actually happens behind that beautifully restored façade on the Amstelveenseweg 134?

Once it was a horse tram depot (1884-1904), now it is a venue for special arts, especially music. Our stage is located in the living and working complex De Binnenpret. Over the years, OCCII has developed into a widely appreciated and unique music stage / children’s theater. OCCII is a concert hall that focuses primarily on alternative music.

Low-key, culturally diverse, adventurous and dynamic are key. In addition, OCCII has been organizing a well-visited program for children aged between 2 and 12 under the name Kinderpret for more than 20 years, with theater and workshops in which children learn how to make (stage) art themselves.
