The Electric Museum Tram Line runs mainly on enthusiastic volunteers and is a fantastic place to view historic trams that have been restored to all their glory. In the spring and summer, the old trams run from the Haarlemmermeer station to Bovenkerk-Amstelveen and back. There are several stops along the 7-kilometer route where you can get off.
The tram season starts annually on the Easter weekend. Subsequently, the trams run every Sunday between 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., until the last Sunday of October.
The historic trams can also be rented for events such as company drinks and family parties. It is even possible to get married on the tram. Look for more information and options on the website.
