The Tramway Museum is run primarily by enthusiastic volunteers and is a great spot to see historic trams that have been lovingly restored to their former glory. During the spring and summer months, the vintage electric trams travel along the former Haarlemmermeer railway line along the edge of the Amsterdamse Bos (forest). There are several tram stops along the seven kilometre track where you can get off and visit attractions by foot.

Tram ride season kicks off on Easter weekend, when passengers will be joined by a certain rabbit bearing chocolate eggs. The last tram ride of the year generally falls in October.
