1102 SB AMSTERDAM
Cycle through Amsterdam’s unique Zuidoost (Southeast) district, stopping-off at social initiatives that have a positive impact on society or the environment. These range from a hotel run by asylum seekers to a monastery brewery and a creative community tucked away between office buildings. Enjoy an abbey beer, fabulous middle-eastern food or a delicious local Dutch meal along the route.
The route starts in Overamstel, an area currently undergoing massive development with the construction of a new residential area towards IKEA and the Bijlmermeer lake. The route is served by bike paths, but some attractions are quite far apart. The attractions can also be accessed easily using the metro as they are all close to stations on line 50.
