From sugar factory to industrial event venue
Once an old sugar factory, now a raw and industrial event location, just a stone's throw from Amsterdam. Welcome to the SugarFactory! From 1863 to 1992, sugar beets were processed into sugar here. A century and a half later, SugarFactory continues to write history with unforgettable events.
With 8,000 m2 of event space and multiple areas that can be used separately or combined, the possibilities are endless. The high spaces, industrial pillars and many historical elements make this a unique location for the most diverse events. Product launches, conferences, staff parties, trade fairs or TV recordings find a unique backdrop in this industrial location. The SugarCity Events team will gladly help you realise the event of your dreams!
SugarFactory reuses all materials from parts of the factory. Sometimes with a completely new destination and sometimes 'restored to old honors'. This gives everything a new chance.
Furthermore, the solar panels will soon be installed.
We only light and heat the location during a build-up and an event (heating if necessary), so that minimal or no energy is used for the rest of the time
SugarFactory is easy to get to by car and public transport. Halfweg-Zwanenburg station is right outside the door, with several trains an hour from Amsterdam and Haarlem, and the former sugar factory is also easily accessible by road. It has its own parking, and if you’re expecting international guests, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is only 15 minutes’ drive away.
