Part 1: Introduction to the company

Perypezye Urbane is a dance company that has focused on the dialogue between dance and technology in recent years. At the beginning of the presentation, co-founder Giovanni Sabelli Fioretti (together with Giuseppe Esposito) takes the audience through the company's early years, in which dance in public space and the relationship between body and city took center stage. Subsequently, their work expanded using digital tools such as video and multimedia, the DanceMe.eu platform, the DanceMe App, and recent experiments with AI as a creative partner.

Part 2: Co-creation between humans and AI in dance and the performing arts

In their current work, Perypezye Urbane explores how AI can function as a collaborative partner within the creative process.

Dancers interact with AI systems to generate new movement possibilities, expand their imagination, and explore unconventional choreographic paths.

Part 3: Interactive demonstration

To conclude, creative coder Martyna Chojnacka will host a short interactive session with the audience.

During this demonstration, examples of prompting techniques within artistic research are shared. Various strategies are compared that are specifically tailored to the creative process.

About Perypezye Urbane

Perypezye Urbane ETS (PU) has grown into an organization for the production and promotion of contemporary dance, with strong expertise in education and digital innovation. The company, based in Milan, is recognized by the Lombardy region and is active at local, national, and European levels, including within Erasmus+ and Creative Europe projects. In addition to its own productions, Perypezye Urbane supports emerging choreographers. They work at the intersection of dance, digital media, and cultural policy. Among other things, they developed the DanceMe platform and the web TV Studio28. Since 2010, PU has organized residencies and training programs in Italy and Germany, among other countries.
