Ibrahim Mousa & Gerardjan Rijnders - The Socialworker
"The Socialworker" tells the story of a Palestinian-Dutch Shaker man who cares for his ailing parents in the Netherlands. To finance this care, the family decides to invest the proceeds from their West Bank land, their family inheritance, in a large-scale project in Hebron. This would ensure that every family member would have sufficient resources to cover the costs of care. When Shaker's mother dies and is buried in Amsterdam, Shaker discovers that his father, who is mildly demented, hasn't signed the contracts for the investment in the Hebron project. This discovery places Shaker and his siblings in a devastating dilemma. How will they be able to afford their father's care? The play will be performed at Frascati.
