Duori

The new album Duori by Heith & Tarawangsawelas is the result of years of collecting ideas on portable recorders, malfunctioning hard drives, and old SIM cards. The first meeting between Italian producer Heith and Tarawangsawelas took place in Bandung. Sundanese reak rituals and long nights in jaipong clubs served as the source of inspiration for their layered, overwhelming, and trance-inducing explorations of sound.

Organic mix of styles

Bridging vast geographical and cultural distances has left its mark on Duori. The organic mix of styles is reflected in partly Sundanese, Italian, and English song titles. Duori itself is a made-up word combining 'dentro' (inside) and 'fuori' (outside), indicating that the music clearly moves between different worlds. Duori is released by the progressive Belgian label STROOM.tv.

Opening act

Mangruv and The Social Lover find common ground in a shared fascination with everything related to percussion, and how sound changes through the way you interact with it. During the Minimal Music Festival, they offered one of the first public glimpses into their playful and intuitive dialogue between drummer and producer. And it leaves us wanting more!
