Nieuw Dakota is an exhibition space for contemporary art at the NDSM wharf in Amsterdam.The experimental program includes exhibitions, performances, tours and educational activities, with the goal of challenging both artists and visitors and broadening their perception of the world.
In 2023, a new artistic programme started at Nieuw Dakota: 1 x 2. Within this concept, one theme is visualised in two divergent, almost opposite exhibitions. The current theme is 'romantic love', with the first exhibition being Yes, I Do. This exhibition highlights one side of the coin: the celebration of successful romantic relationships.
