Connect and grow
You experience a weekend full of connection in Amsterdam. This event brings local residents together to make the city greener. You exchange plants and learn about urban gardening. Discover how you contribute to more green in your own environment.
Urban gardens
During this event, you will find bins with plants at various locations in the city. These are free to take home and plant. Whether you have a large garden or a small windowsill, there is a place for everyone. You grow your own vegetables and flowers. This creates a deeper connection with nature.
Making plants together
The organization has already prepared many plants for you. Together they work to inspire Amsterdammers. You exchange plants, seeds, but also homemade compost or gardening books. You do not necessarily have to bring anything with you. Visit the locations, pick up plants and get in touch with other garden enthusiasts.
Blooming workshops
At some locations there are also workshops. Here you will learn, for example, about sowing young plants. You will also discover the role of gardening in food sovereignty. Learn more about the importance of balcony flowers for biodiversity. You share knowledge and inspiration with each other.
Color Amsterdam
This year the event participates again in the Sunflower Protest. Together you fill Amsterdam with sunflowers to draw attention to the Lutkemeerpolder. Help make the city greener and more colorful. Do you have sunflower seeds? Sow them on time and share your plants during the event.
