LEMON—AI'D showcases the results of a unique collaboration between the Amsterdam band Lemon and Image and Media Technologist Rodger Werkhoven. Lemon released a single each month in 2025, and Werkhoven used these as inspiration to create AI art. The result: 12 Delft Blue virtual plates in a wide variety of styles, ultimately made of actual ceramic.
The exhibition will feature not only the 12 unique plates (Delft Blue and more richly colored, fired by Solke Pasveer), but also all the preliminary studies for the AI-generated artwork. Visitors can also listen to the accompanying songs (bring your own earphones!), there will be live performances by Lemon and other acts, and Rodger Werkhoven will give presentations explaining his creative approach to artificial intelligence.

Lemon is an Amsterdam band with a distinctive sound they call "Nedchester." They've performed at venues including Paradiso, De Parade, Westerpark, Noordermarkt, Nieuwmarkt, and the NDSM wharf, and have shared stages with bands like Primal Scream, The Charlatans, and Stereo MC's. The group has released five albums, and singer Cath Coffey of Stereo MC's can be heard on seven of their singles.
Two quotes from the reviews: "With each single, Lemon keep proving why they're one of the most exciting bands bubbling up from the Netherlands." ; “Some bands arrive with a sound so specific that it feels they have carved out their own tiny district on the global music map. Lemon is one of those groups.”
