Special menu
At Lab-44 you will always find something on the menu to eat your fingers at. Culinary enjoyment, pizzas from our Valoriani pizza oven; there is plenty of choice. At the bar or on the terrace you can enjoy Hoop en Breugem specialty beer from Zaandijk. Would you rather have a special G&T or a soft drink? They have enough drinks to quench your thirst! Are you coming with children? There is also a nice play corner and for lovers they serve delicious ice cream from Monte Pelmo!
History
The unique building required a unique interpretation, and we certainly succeeded. The name, Lab-44, refers to the original function and address (Middenweg 44). In the new setup, the origin is honored more than just in the name. Lab-44 has been developed into a multifunctional set-up 'for makers & eaters'.
The restaurant is located in the high middle section and on the entresol, there is a terrace on the south side and there are various food & drink related companies: a small brewery of HOOP, the workshop of Zaanse Sambal, a 'Paplab' where rice porridge is made developed in collaboration with Lassie and a workshop for the development of food & drink packaging design of the Amsterdam company Proud Design. There are also two meeting rooms available for resp. 15 and 40 visitors. With almost 100 seats inside and a terrace outside, Lab-44 has the ambition to become the new hotspot for both the Zaanstreek and Amsterdam.
