Tango Orchestra Amsterdam impresses with exhilarating Argentine tangos. On December 14th, you can listen to fast-paced milongas, lively waltzes, and traditional and contemporary tangos. Our orchestra enjoys performing in the small and intimate Munganga Theatre.

Piazzolla's tangos in various arrangements

The repertoire includes special tangos such as: An ode by Piazzolla to orchestra leader, composer and bandoneon player Anibal Troilo; An interpretation by Gerard van Duinen of public bus traffic in Buenos Aires; An arrangement by Matías Gobbo (1984, Mar del Plata) about bitter fruit.

It is a varied repertoire performed by the Orquesta Tipica with 3x bandoneons, 9x violins and 1x cello, piano, double bass, vocals.
