Amsterdam in the 17th century: a thriving commercial metropolis, the beating heart of world trade and the scene of unprecedented artistic and cultural prosperity. A musical revolution was taking place in Europe: the Baroque era was born.

‘Baroque on the Canals’ brings these worlds together in a two-hour intimate cruise on a classic saloon boat from Rederij Belle. On Sunday mornings, sailing silently along the iconic canals, the music of Vivaldi, Bach and Handel is played live by musicians from the Sweelinckorchestra.
