Music from SKH Yan Laap Memorial Primary School
Founded in 2009, SKH Yan Laap Memorial Primary School (Hong Kong) has rapidly developed into a school with an impressive musical tradition. In 2020, the school reached a significant milestone with the establishment of its string orchestra and symphony orchestra. The symphony orchestra now boasts a powerful ensemble of 85 talented musicians, 43 of whom were recently selected for a prestigious music exchange tour to the Netherlands – testament to the high international reputation of our musicians.
Under the visionary leadership of our conductor, Mr. Jacky Lau Chun Lung , the orchestra has become a breeding ground for young musical talent. Our excellence is consistently reflected in an impressive array of awards, including numerous gold and silver prizes in both Hong Kong and internationally.
