Pedano sisters

The talent occurs disproportionately in some families. Take the sisters Anuschka and Maria Pedano. Maria is not only a particularly gifted oboist with a velvety tone, she is also a master interpreter of French chanson and, as a young soprano, immerses herself in the poetic song repertoire. Anuschka is a passionate violist with a unique sound, praised for her great depth and refinement. The sisters are characterized by their refined and expressive interplay and are first prize winners of many (international) competitions, including the British Competition, the Princess Christina Competition and the Gnessin Competition in Moscow. In honor of Princess Irene's eightieth birthday, they performed together with Herman van Veen in Carré, on major stages abroad such as the Victoria Hall in Singapore or the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. They presented their own musical play sisters at the Grachtenfestival in 2022 and were several times guests on the television program Podium Witteman .

World premiere Jorian van Nee

Jorian van Nee is a promising pianist. He not only excels in chamber music and song repertoire, but is also a great composer. For him, playing the piano and composing go hand in hand. He wrote his Romanze for viola and piano especially for Anuschka in 2021. A modern romantic piece with a nod to Bruch's Romanze . The piece will have its world premiere tonight.

Lyrical melodies, Argentinian passion and chansons

The evening opens with Poulenc's humor and poetic sensitivity. His songs reflect everyday life. Schumann, on the other hand, takes the audience to his fairytale world in his Märchenerzählungen . The Argentinian roots of the Pedano sisters resonate in the music of Piazzolla, father of 'tango nuevo'. Maria is a master interpreter of French chansons. She is the winner of the Concours de la Chanson Alliance Française and studies classical singing at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. The Pedano sisters perform unforgettable chansons by Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour and Jacques Brel.
