About Pablo and Helena Casella

Pablo and Helena Casella come from a musical family. Helena is a young creator of Belgian-Brazilian descent and a singer who studied jazz at the Amsterdam Conservatory. She is part of KillJoy Quizshow (NTGent), Sachee and Cultra Collective (Amsterdam), and released her debut album Pit of Impressions in 2025. Her uncle, Pablo Casella, is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from São Paulo, who has lived in Ghent since 2008.

Brazilian music

Together, they present a selection of Brazilian songs and original compositions in which their roots and family ties are audible and palpable. With guitar, percussion, and vocals, they not only connect their strings and voices but, as Young Creators, also engage in a dialogue with the Amsterdam audience. From serene ballads to lively rhythms: this concert bursts with warm Brazilian influences and musical connection.

NB This concert is a double bill featuring a performance by the band Golek-Heine-Roelofs.
