Sound artist and scientist Kevin Toksöz Fairbairn specializes in the performance, improvisation and composition of experimental music. Dalton Harris
Dalton Harris is a trombonist who performs internationally on modern and historical instruments. He has premiered more than 50 works by composers including Joshua Carro, Catalina Rueda, Michelle Abondano, Rafael Llanos, Chris Castro and Sky Macklay. He is a purveyor of historical performances and has performed at sackbut with L'Arpe Festanta, La Festa Musicale, the Dresden Chamber Choir and Ensemble Collina, among others. He works closely with composer Cecilia Arditto Delsoglio and will be a resident at the Tilburg-based analogue studio Het Concreet in 2024. His projects span centuries, exploring the intersections of art and technology and fostering research collaborations between artists of all kinds. In addition to performing, Dalton is a teacher and co-director of the New Mexico Contemporary Ensemble, an experimental chamber music collective.
Kevin Toksoz Fairbairn
Kevin Toksöz Fairbairn is a performer, sound artist and scientist who works at the boundaries of installation, improvisation, composition and craftsmanship. He is a regular guest of the world's most important new music ensembles, such as Klangforum Wien and Talea Ensemble, with whom he performs at leading festivals and concert halls around the world. He is also one of the founders of the experimental chamber music groups Hoodwink (with Winnie Huang), Blechtrommel (with Joao Carlos Pacheco) and les Trombones de Bale. As an experienced instrument builder, he gives concerts and builds installations using a variety of instruments of his own design and construction. He publishes on sound studies, artistic research and musicology, and has given master classes and lectures throughout Europe, Asia and North America. His recent book, dis/cord: Thinking Sound through Agential Realism, was published in 2022 by Punctum Books.
