Since 2009, the group led by Marcello Squillante has been exploring and reinterpreting the music of Southern Italy: from Apulian pizzica to Sicilian serenades, from Calabrian tarantella to Greek rebetiko and Balkan music. Their innovative ethnomusicological research revitalizes the role of traditional music as a moment of togetherness, free artistic expression, and social connection.

Ars Nova Napoli offers a unique sound, weaving together accordion, violin, trumpet, mandolin, gaita bagpipe, double bass, and various frame drums to create a rich and captivating musical tapestry. Their concerts—full of harmonies, rhythm, and energy—become performances capable of entertaining and enchanting audiences of all ages and backgrounds, transcending both geographical and generational boundaries.
