Ludovico Einaudi

Ludovico Einaudi is back in the Main Hall of the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. On his own! For two intimate concerts in which he plays his most beloved pieces solo on piano, together with lesser-known gems and a few surprises. It promises to be an emotional journey through an oeuvre that transcends genres and boundaries, characterized by lyrical minimalism, expressive depth, and a direct connection with the listener.

Once captivated by Einaudi's minimalist yet rich sound world, one cannot let go. Einaudi composes a great deal of music for films, but also releases magnificent solo albums with clockwork regularity, consistently managing to move the listener to the fullest with minimal means. As a result, Einaudi has grown into a legendary piano composer who can stand in the ranks of Chopin, Satie, and Philip Glass.
'Magic'
During an interview with Twan Huys on College Tour, Einaudi revealed that the Great Hall is perhaps his most beloved venue: 'The acoustics here are fantastic. The sound is so open and magnificent. Here, the sound breathes, it travels, flows through the space. That is truly magical.' Einaudi was last a guest in Amsterdam in 2024. Together with a thirteen-piece string orchestra, he enchanted the Great Hall back then. Now he is back for two concerts, alone at the piano.
