Repetition as a structural condition
It Keeps Repeating is a project that investigates how identity is formed within systems that organize visibility, behavior, and togetherness. Repetition as a structural condition.
Drawing on the Balkan context, in which a queer existence is often tolerated only if it remains "within four walls," the project reflects on privacy as a conditional space. Consent and restriction coexist. Intimacy does not abolish regulation, and visibility remains a point of negotiation. Religion, institutional authority, and sexual culture are not treated as separate spheres, but as overlapping systems that position and interpret the body. Identity emerges through repetition within these structures and never exists entirely outside of them.
Sound and Installation
Alongside the installation, an eponymous electronic dance album explores these issues through sound. Moving between tension and release, rhythm and stillness, the album investigates the duality between religion and sexuality through club-oriented productions. The dance floor thus becomes a new place where devotion and desire intersect, transforming conflict into resonance.
