Heiner Goebbels’ Walden
A performance by Ensemble Klang, Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop + Keir Neuringer. Walden, by the enfant terrible of German music theater, Heiner Goebbels, is inspired by the philosophies of American writer Henry David Thoreau. As early as the 19th century, Thoreau anticipated both today's environmental movement and the phenomenon of civil disobedience. Thoreau's visionary texts are given added urgency as spoken word by Keir Neuringer.
