Concert in a historic bandstand by the water

The Waterlandse Harmonie is playing a concert in the Ransdorp Music Chapel, one of the most atmospheric concert venues in Amsterdam. The chapel is situated directly on the water, in the heart of the characteristic polder village of Ransdorp. From Amsterdam, it is a beautiful bike ride through the Waterland to this special village, surrounded by meadows.

An orchestra with roots in the neighborhood

The Waterlandse Harmonie has been making music from Ransdorp since 1916. It is a close-knit orchestra of musical local residents. Under the direction of conductor Thomas Geerts, the orchestra is known for adventurous projects and original concerts. The program covers local history, world music, and special stories that enhance the music.
