Extending String Quartets: Future Echoes ADAM Quartet & Elisabeth Hetherington

In the Future Echoes program, past, present, and future intertwine in the form of light and sound. The creators focus on Schönberg's Second String Quartet, and Vinthya Perinpanathan juxtaposes a newly composed work with Schönberg's groundbreaking notes. The concept of the "harmony of the spheres" offers a counterbalance to the relationships between notes and intervals, which were considered ideal in both music and the cosmos. This program is part of the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam and can be heard at Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ.
