A Musical Christmas Journey with Bach

The Apollo Ensemble presents six unique concert programs that together form Bach’s Christmas Oratorio. Not as one long performance, but as Bach intended in 1734: a musical journey through the six festive days of the Christmas season, each concert revealing a new part of the work.

Vocal and Instrumental Splendor

Each concert lasts just over an hour and is performed without intermission, combining a section of the Christmas Oratorio with a matching cantata and an instrumental piece. Four outstanding soloists – Siri Thornhill (soprano), Iris Bouman (alto), Pablo Gregorian (tenor) and Michiel Meijer (bass) – join the radiant Apollo Ensemble for an inspiring Baroque celebration.
