MVA Certified Expat Brokers are part of the Makelaarsvereniging Amsterdam (MVA) — a professional association representing over 600 certified real estate agents in Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Hoofddorp, and the surrounding region.
At the request of the City of Amsterdam, MVA developed a certification program for expat brokers to ensure internationals receive professional, transparent, and reliable housing services. This initiative was created to counter unregulated practices such as hidden fees or unlawful rental conditions.
Today, MVA Certified Expat Brokers represent 90% of the expat housing market in the Amsterdam Area. Each broker is a licensed NVM member, trained to assist internationals in renting or buying homes safely and efficiently.
