Opening hours of museums and attractions during holidays
King's Day (April 26)
*King's Day is normally celebrated on 27 April; however, in 2025 it is moved to the 26th because the 27th is a Sunday.

Some museums and attractions are closed on King's Day. The Anne Frank House, Artis, Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam, MOCO Museum, Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk Museum, among others, will be open during King's Day. If you are visiting with the I amsterdam City Card, check opening hours through individual museum websites, which you can find in the list of included activities.
Public transportation and many streets are disrupted due to the city's festivities. Plan your transit in advance by checking timetables and routes on GVB.nl. Be aware that the city centre will be especially crowded all throughout the day, so do consider this while making plans.
