This adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray is a story about the struggle to reconcile the image people present to the outside world with the sides they hide.

What do you risk if you show the world your true self? What do you risk if you never do that?

About the creators

This production is a collaboration between Alias Theater and Loose Cannon.

Loose Cannon is a creative collaboration between Leon Pierik and Jelke Ludolphij. Together, we wrote, produced, and directed “Where the Sun Slumbers” in 2024. Since then, we have been busy writing new scripts, including “The Picture of Dorian Gray”.

Alias Theater is a new production house in Groningen that helps directors and theater makers realize their visions with their experience and passion for producing for the stage and everything behind the scenes.

We wouldn't be able to do this without the help and enthusiasm of all the volunteers involved in the production!
