Atlas
O'Neal is an artist constantly inspired by the question of what it means to be human. This manifests itself in no fewer than twenty albums and EPs, including platinum and gold singles. His music is introspective, melancholic, and comforting, often dealing with themes such as love, loss, growth, and the relationship between humanity and the universe. O'Neal enjoys challenging himself through innovative projects. This began in 2010 with Yearbook , in which he wrote and released three songs every month for a year, resulting in a total of 36 songs. That success led to another long-running concept series: Atlas . Part 1 (2014) deals with, among other things, the origin of the universe; Part 2 (2019) with involuntary human development. Part 3 is still ongoing and addresses the question of what humans do with their lives. In the Astronomy projects , he zooms out on major world events, while on Atoms he zooms in on the small moments of wonder in life.
Independent
Sleeping At Last was founded in 1999 in Wheaton, Illinois, as a trio. The band released their debut album, Capture, in 2000. Thanks to that record and their many performances, they caught the attention of Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, who secured them a record deal. The second album, Ghosts, was released in 2003, and the third project, Keep No Score, was released in 2006. In late 2008, Sleeping At Last became a duo after drummer Chad O'Neal left the band. In May 2011, bassist and keyboardist Dan Perdue also left, leaving Ryan O'Neal as the sole band member. Aside from Ghosts , Sleeping At Last releases their music as independent artists.
This production is a collaboration between Friendly Fire and Koninklijk Theater Carré, with Friendly Fire as the responsible producer and Carré responsible for ticket sales and the venue.
