Discover the world of water communities
This program, part of our opening weekend, highlights the lives of communities along the water from diverse geographical perspectives. It focuses on artistic practices that explore identities emerging along riverbanks and deltas. You will see how more-than-human relationships with and by the environment are shaped.
Dive into mythology and ecology
The artists depict the complex reality of life close to and together with the river. They examine playful, mythological, and spiritual relationships with water, but also the scientific and historical consequences of ecological crises caused by human activity. These approaches propose a meaningful stewardship of the environment, rooted in both scientific facts and cultural significance.
Broaden your perspective in conversation
The program includes listening sessions by Ashfika Rahman and Eunice Pais. This will be followed by a short discussion with other artists from the exhibition. Àngels Miralda, the exhibition curator, will lead this round table. This conversation aims to deepen the dialogue between the Wild Waters artists and their works. It explores how we maintain the delicate balance between human prosperity and the protection of water sources that sustain us.
