About Dara Ó Briain

Dara Ó Briain is an Irish comedian, presenter, and writer, born on February 4, 1972, in Bray, County Wicklow. After studying mathematics and theoretical physics at University College Dublin, he began his career as a television presenter with the Irish broadcaster RTÉ, while developing his stand-up career.

He achieved international fame as the host of popular British TV shows such as Mock the Week, Stargazing Live, and Robot Wars. Known for his sharp wit and intelligent style, he uniquely combines science and comedy. In addition to his performing, he has written successful books, including the children's book Beyond the Sky. Ó Briain lives in London with his wife and three children and remains active on stage, performing sold-out comedy shows both domestically and internationally.
