Amsterdam City Walk
Amsterdam City Walk will return to the city in 2023. Also during the 9th edition you can choose from routes of 10, 14, 17, 20, 26 and 33 km. Each route has its own atmosphere and experience and takes hikers along the highlights of the capital.
Thanks to the different distances, the Amsterdam City Walk is suitable for the novice and the experienced walker. Put on those sneakers and discover plenty of culture and nature, including the historic Prinsengracht, the atmospheric Vondelpark, cozy neighborhoods and of course the famous Skinny Bridge. The walk along the highlights of Amsterdam, in combination with the entertainment along the routes, is a real Amsterdam Experience.
Special starting locations
In addition to the attractive routes, the start and finish locations are also special. The walkers of the four longest distances start from the running track in the iconic Olympic Stadium; the participants in the 14 km start near Sloterdijk Station and the 10 km start from Rembrandtplein. All participants finish together on the Stadionplein, in front of the Olympic Stadium.
Walk for a good cause
Also this year, as a participant in the Amsterdam City Walk, you can make a voluntary contribution to one of the projects of Stadsherstel Amsterdam, which saves monuments and landmark buildings. The amount raised will go to the Oosterkerk in Amsterdam and will be used for the repurposing of this 17th-century church.
Registration will open in mid-May 2023 for the 9th edition of the Amsterdam City Walk via the website. The registration period is open until October 1 or until the participant limit is reached. The organization of the Amsterdam City Walk expects 14,000 walkers to start.
