As part of the Sonic Acts Biennial, Melted for Love, Sonic Acts and Hartwig Art Foundation present the Spatial Sound Concerts at Paradiso on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th February 2026. Over the course of two evenings, thirteen live performances and diffusions will unfold on the world-famous Acousmonium – an orchestra of approximately sixty speakers designed to completely enclose the audience, brought to Amsterdam by INA GRM.
Step into an evening of exhilarating sonic exploration
Experience spatial sound in its most immersive form: listening with heightened attention, as a full bodily experience moving through a sound field.
During this second five-hour evening, visitors will discover new and important works in spatial sound by BJ Nilsen and KMRU & Aho Ssan, compositions by Éliane Radigue and Beatriz Ferreyra, and daring performances by avant-gardists Leila Bordreuil & Drew McDowall, Martyna Basta, and Mariam Gviniashvili & Hilde Marie Holsen. Visit the Sonic Acts Biennal 2026 website for more information.
The Spatial Sound Concerts are presented by Sonic Acts and the Hartwig Art Foundation, and co-organized with the Musical Research Group of the French National Audiovisual Institute (INA GRM).
The programs are also realized by Paradiso and Sonic Acts as part of New Perspectives for Action , a Re-Imagine Europe project co-funded by the European Union. With the kind support of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
