Grachtenfestival: Janna & Joshua

Classical and jazz in a continuous program

Joshua & Janna combine classical and jazz into a continuous whole. They switch smoothly between styles and blend existing works with their own compositions and improvisations. The influences of Jobim and Mengelberg, among others, are audible in their program, in which contrast and coherence reinforce each other.

Musicians with a broad background

Both studied at the conservatory in Amsterdam. Janna performed in various youth and chamber music ensembles and is currently pursuing her master's degree. Joshua is the founder of the ensembles Woodcraft and Moon Garden and is an award-winning musician. Janna plays the violin, Joshua the cello.

The concert takes place in the Bloei & Groei garden, one of the special locations of the Grachtenfestival.
