Music without borders
Chaerin Im is known for her distinctive sound, in which she connects modern jazz, Korean indie music, cinematic instrumentals, and ambient electronica. Improvisation and melody constantly reinforce each other in her music. She once said: "For a long time, I thought you had to stick to one genre." It is precisely letting go of that boundary that now forms the core of her style.
New compositions with piano and synthesizers
For this concert, Chaerin Im wrote new pieces especially for the occasion and experimented with a setup in which an acoustic grand piano and synthesizers come together. You will hear these compositions live for the first time. Her trio also consists of Paddy Fitzgerald on bass guitar and Ludvig Søndergaard on drums.
