Two very different bands aiming to do the same thing: bring fresh new music by listening and combining sounds from all over the world, present and past.
The show will start with a 1 hour set by Frog Jumps Out. Following a small break, there will be a storyteller (to be announced). Then Filmm takes the stage for a 45 minute set. Another storyteller act (to be announced) then follows before a joint set between the two bands, merging the styles of each other to bring something completely new.
About Filmm
Filmm is a 3-piece band that started in June 2025 born in a series of chaotic, no-agenda jam sessions, with each member bringing influences from across the board. The band weaves agile math rock riffing through sturdy hardcore bass and drums. Fragile but punchy, chaotic but catchy. Filmm wrapping up their debut EP right, and are psyched to bring the energy live.
About Frog Jumps Out
Frog Jumps Out is a jazz fusion band that treats PlayStation 2–era racing game soundtracks with the same seriousness as Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea. Inspired by 80s Japanese fusion icons such as Casiopea, it blends vintage electric instruments with modern hip-hop grooves, while keeping the harmonic richness and improvisation of traditional jazz. Unafraid of sounding cheesy, Frog Jumps Out moves between blazing guitar solos and dramatic melodies to bring out emotions rarely foregrounded in jazz.
