Brahms’ later works - Piotr Anderszewski

One of today's most beloved pianists returns to the Muziekgebouw: Piotr Anderszewski. In 2024, he received an Edison Award in the Instrumental Soloist category for his CD Bartók, Janáček, Szymanowski. He performed a large portion of that repertoire impressively that same year at the Muziekgebouw. Now he's back with, among other pieces, late Brahms's Klavierstücke.

Promising interpretation of Brahms

As a regular guest in the Piano series, Anderszewski has already made a great impression at the Muziekgebouw several times. Another promising development for this concert is that Anderszewski's interpretation of Brahms's Piano Pieces has received international acclaim. The Guardian, for example, wrote in a five-star review of his performance of his selection of the latter's opuses 116 through 119: "He treats every intermezzo as if it were a jewel." A late Beethoven sonata is also in good hands with Anderszewski.
