By popular demand, a 'revival' of Pergolesi's beloved Stabat Mater and Vivaldi's Nisi Dominus (with the beautiful 'Cum Dederit'). This time, Alexander Chance is joined in the Stabat Mater by none other than the world-famous soprano Emöke Baráth. This concert has been specially curated for our series and serves as the prelude to the 30th anniversary of Barok Vocaal. Pergolesi's Stabat Mater would become the most reprinted composition of the eighteenth century. The two famous soloists will ensure an unforgettable performance. Emöke Baráth will sing Vivaldi's virtuos virtuoso Nulla in Mundo , and the orchestra will play the moving work Sinfonia al Santo Sepolcro .

The renowned soprano Emöke Baráth is widely regarded as one of the leading sopranos, particularly in the early music circuit. Il Gardellino belongs to the select group of world-famous baroque orchestras.
