Dolman Gala
Paul Haenen is celebrating the fiftieth birthday of his famous alter ego, Margreet Dolman, with a sparkling anniversary gala in the Main Hall! It promises to be a special, celebratory gathering with Margreet Dolman and several well-known friends. Paul Haenen says: "I'm so happy that this anniversary is taking place in the most beautiful concert hall in the world. The Dolman Gala is truly something to look forward to in this unpredictable and chaotic world." The extroverted, husky-voiced Margreet Dolman first made her appearance on the then-local broadcaster STAD Radio Amsterdam, where she hosted a weekly radio program for fifteen years. Later, Margreet gained national fame with appearances on Sonja Barend's Sonja's Goed Nieuws Show and later on De Wereld Draait Door . Starting in the 1990s, Margreet also had programs on RTL 4 and Net5. She was the emotional editor-in-chief of the cultural and humorous magazine Mens & Gevoelens , which appeared from the late 1980s until a few years ago. She still produces a podcast. In recent years, Margreet Dolman often dresses in Viktor&Rolf.
Forty years of theatre shows
Diva Margreet Dolman also released several of her own albums and books, such as "Het Vrolijke Winterboek" (The Merry Winter Book ) two years ago. For over forty years, Paul Haenen has been creating theater shows starring Margreet. The end-of-year performances at Theater De Richel (formerly the Betty Asfalt Complex) are always sold out. Paul and his husband Dammie van Geest started this traditional December series to counterbalance the "imposed Christmas cheer" that, according to them, many Dutch people suffer from.
