Workshop: Ancestral Deassimilation

On 25 April 2026, artists Anne Jesuina and Thais di Marco present a workshop on the intergenerational dynamics of assimilation, in which participants find ways, by moving and reflecting, to align with ancestral places of power and to learn concrete tools that support deassimilation. The workshop serves as an embodied practice

In this workshop Anne Jesuina and Thais Di Marco both initiated in Brazilian Candomblé Houses, get together to share coaching techniques, somatic practices, group facilitation and cosmological education.

The intention is to offer an embodied practice that tackles the issues related to the Desire of Assimilation as a key factor for the demobilization of social movements and targeted communities.

The workshop serves as an embodied practice, making make space for immigrants, marginalised communities, LGBTQAP+, ethnic minorities, climate justice, cosmic justice and decolonial activists.
