Badass Tours offers walking and boat tours that introduce you to the hidden badasses of history, Amsterdammers who broke the rules and made the city.
Small-Group Walking Tours
Meet the BIPOC, female, Jewish and LGBTQIA Amsterdammers who have contributed to the creation of the city with large and small deeds. Their histories have been unraveled in archives scattered across the country. Their stories were then edited by an award-winning director from New York. Experienced storytellers share these stories during walking tours, boat trips and special events.
Badass Tours offers private and group walks. The private walks are tailored to the themes desired by the client (BIPOC, LGBTQIA, Jewish and/or women's history) and interests (artists, revolutionaries, fighters, etc.). The group walks cover a wide range of people and neighbourhoods. The current group tours are the 'Women's History Tour', 'LGBTQ+ History Tour' and 'Hidden Gems Tour'.
Badass Tours' Badass Amsterdam DIY Tour is a self-guided digital tour. Users follow their own interests through the Amsterdam BIPOC, LGBTQIA, Jewish and/or women's history. This self-compiled walking tour can be found via the Badass Tours website, without having to download an app and without data tracking.
For larger groups and special events, Badass Tours organizes private boat tours through Amsterdam or special storytelling shows. Previous storytelling locations include the Van Gogh Museum, Pakhuis de Zwijger and Mezrab House of Stories.
