Come along to the launch of the BioBlitz in the Amsterdamse Bos. Join us for some snacks and drinks and free guided tours as we kick off the biodiversity event of the year.
Did you know that thousands of species of plants, birds, fungi, mammals and insects live in the Amsterdamse Bos? From rare butterflies to aquatic insects and mysterious fungi, and you can help discover them! During the BioBlitz, we’ll work together to map the rich biodiversity of the Amsterdamse Bos.
During the BioBlitz from 9 May to 7 June, we will be mapping as many species as possible. Throughout this month, you can take part in guided excursions and activities focusing on different species and locations in the Bos, or simply go on your own BioBlitz expedition.
A BioBlitz is a large-scale, collaborative nature survey in which everyone takes part: researchers, experts and you. The observations are used for real nature research and help to protect the Forest.
