TCS Amsterdam Marathon

Major sporting event

This international marathon is known for its flat and attractive course with many highlights. In addition to the classic distance, the Mizuno Half Marathon, TCS 8 km and two youth events are on the program. All parts finish in the historic Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam.

Highlights of the course include the start and finish in the Olympic Stadium, the passage under the Rijksmuseum and past the Heineken Experience, the kilometres along the Amstel River and the lap through the Vondelpark.

The TCS Amsterdam Marathon has been organized since 1978 and is not the least: with its fast course and participants from around 80 countries, it ranks among the best marathons in the world. Prize-winning marathon

In 2013, the TCS Amsterdam Marathon received the Gold Label for Road Races from the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). This special prize is only awarded to leading international races. The TCS Amsterdam Marathon, therefore, fits in the list of major marathons, such as those in New York, Paris, London, Boston and Berlin.
